DESCRIPTION

To be considered for the Director, Business Development position for Chally you must have experience designing and selling complex, enterprise-wide operations improvement focused programs to direct clients and through channel partners. In addition, you must have a proven track record of successful sales organization leadership. The Director, Business Development is primarily responsible for actively initiating and developing new business opportunities. Successful business development will be accomplished through leveraging Chally content experts and other resources in a true team selling approach.

Key components of the role include:

  • Identifying, pursuing, and penetrating potential clients
  • Working closely with prospective clients and channels to understand their business objectives and matching those requirements with Chally capabilities and solutions
  • Qualifying opportunities and developing a strong business case to support recommendations
  • Leading the development and presentation of proposals to client executives
  • Managing and negotiating the contract and letter of engagement / statement of work process
  • Closing clients on selecting Chally as a solutions provider and continuously maintaining/developing these relationships
  • Managing and expanding existing channel partner relationships
  • Creating and managing new channel partner relationships
  • Managing the sales process where opportunity assessment, pursuit planning, and win/strategy sessions are conducted

Creating a sales pipeline process and reporting system with specific targets for cross selling products and services including:

  • Penetration and expansion of position within current strategic accounts
  • Identification and establishment of new accounts utilizing business development methods, processes, and techniques
  • Revitalizing dormant account relationships where potential has not been explored and developed beyond the initial satisfactory relationship

Requirements

  • Proven experience closing $1M + enterprise projects and carrying $3M + annual quota
  • Extensive “C" level relationship management and development experience
  • Strong industry contacts that span a number of market segments
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully selling a complex intangible service at the “C" level
  • Experience developing strong client relationships and navigating complex political environments in Global 1000 companies
  • Experience developing and leading teams in executing major account strategy plans

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-10 years experience in applying business development techniques to complex intangible sales
  • 5-10 years experience in penetrating existing accounts and the establishment of profitable new accounts
  • Must be detail oriented and understand the importance of documenting meeting minutes, action items, and discussions/decisions held with clients and prospects
  • 5-10 years of experience in effectively leading and managing a sales organization
  • 3+ years background in HR Consulting or with Talent Management related industries is preferred but not mandatory

    REQUISITE SKILLS

  • 5+ years in enterprise solution sales and consulting
  • 5+ years of sales force leadership
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • 5+ years experience in dealing with senior level management
