Meet Sally Stevens and John Wood

Sara (Sally) Stevens is the Vice President of Research and Development for The HR Chally Group, and one of its founders. Her dual background in science and psychology has allowed her to work extensively in both professional and scientific management settings since 1965.

Sally Stevens, HR Chally GroupMs. Stevens supervises research and development activities that have produced both the instruments and measurement methods used by The HR Chally Group. These efforts have produced effective profiles for a complete array of sales, management and technical positions in a variety of industries. She has also developed and presented Selection Interviewing, Career Development, and Management Development Workshops for present and potential managers and executives. As Vice President of The HR Chally Group, she assists companies with large and small sales forces to select sales personnel to fit the selling situation and maximize sales force efforts through extensive analyses of customer requirements.

Before joining Chally, she was a research chemist for the University of Dayton and The US Air Force. Most notably she created the original dye laser research dyes that are used in sophisticated weapons guidance systems, as well as medical applications such as the treatment of skin lesions or scars. She has been an instructor at the University of Dayton in both chemistry and management. She volunteers her support to many non-profit organizations such as Junior Achievement and is active in many charities. She serves on the boards of the Miami Valley Literacy Council and PALS for Life. Ms. Stevens is married, the mother of two sons and lives in Kettering, Ohio.

John Wood is the Vice President, Business Development for The HR Chally Group. He joined The HR Chally Group in December of 1999 to implement a business development strategy. He has over a twenty year record of success in sales, sales management, and strategic account management. John has held positions of responsibility with Moore Corporation, Data Documents, Unisource Worldwide and Strategic Distribution. He has demonstrated the ability to increase business value by repeatedly exceeding revenue and profit goals. On at least four occasions, John has been responsible for building a sales team from scratch or turning around an under performing operation. In each instance, he has put in place theJohn Wood processes and personnel to produce significant growth in revenues and operating income.

John and his wife, Shirley, live in the Dayton area. They have three adult daughters and four grandchildren in the area. They have one adult son in the Philadelphia area. John and Shirley both enjoy golf and the opportunity to spend valuable time with their children and grandchildren.
