The award is based on criteria including on-time shipping, drop-shipping flexibility, state of the art technology, shipping and documentation, pricing, marketing programs, maintaining a 99.8 percent or greater acceptable rate on product shipped to plants, technical support, electronic data interchange capability, and supplier communication. Standard Register Label Solutions supplies Freightliner with solutions including tamper-resistant decals, product identification labels, compliance consulting and design expertise.

"Our suppliers play a large role in helping us deliver high-quality commercial vehicles that provide our customers with significant competitive advantages. You are the role models for the entire supplier base," said Roger Nielsen, chief operating officer of Freightliner LLC.

Forbes.com recently recognized KI's CEO, Dick Resch as a leader who is "the antithesis of all that is souring America's mood...he ought to be the poster boy for upright CEO behavior."

Resch has used innovative methods at this Wisconsin business furniture manufacturer that is 100% owned by management and employees. His belief in a cellular manufacturing process that allows teams to complete most of the products' assembly within a relatively small area, plus his ability to lead KI through a tough economic time for the business furniture industry, are just two of the reasons for his recognition.

KI's workers, according to Forbes, are provided with lessons in financial literacy, encouraged to educate themselves about their company and its inner workings, and are nurtured to take on a greater role of community responsibility.
