The backbone of Chally results is something called a “Profile.” The Chally’s Standard Assessment compares an individual against one of Chally’s validated Profiles or descriptions of a particular role or a customized Profile created for a customer. It measures whether individuals are likely to be successful in a specific role, based on their scores and the competencies that research has shown are critical for success in that particular role.

So what is a Profile? Unlike most assessment companies, Chally compares individuals in specific roles. To create a Profile of a specific role, Chally uses a sample group of people that are actually in that role. Then, using performance data, clear top and bottom performers within that sample group are identified. The entire sample group completes the assessment and the results are compared to Chally’s database of 156 validated behavioral-based competencies or skills. Chally identifies those skills, which are differentiators for the role. In other words, did those skills in which top performers scored the highest -- as a group -- also produce the lowest scores in the group of bottom performers? Again, Chally is looking at individuals who are successfully employed in a specific role and truly identifying what makes the top performers different from the bottom performers.

With 30 years of research, Chally has created over 55 validated Profiles for common sales, management, and leadership positions.

How does Chally know the skills within a Profile are actually predictive? Research with major users of the Chally Assessment report that 85–90% of candidates who where recommended for a specific role ultimately performed well in that role. More importantly, Chally’s research shows that 75–80% of candidates not recommended by Chally for a specific role did not ultimately succeed on the job. Chally is able to predict those individuals who can be successful and those who should look for a different role.

Chally has extremely strong, well-documented case histories of its use in various industries, at various levels and with different types of leadership. Chally has also received favorable reviews by independent validators.
