Sales Rep Position - Second Most Difficult Job to Fill

The Manpower Research Center recently conducted a survey to name the top ten jobs employers have the most difficulty filling. The 39,000 employers from 33 countries questioned identified a shortage of talent the source of most hiring problems. Thirty percent of employers face this issue. The top ten most difficult jobs to fill include:

1. Skilled Manual Trades        6. Accounting/Finance Staff
2. Sales Representatives        7. Laborers
3. Technicians                       8. Production Operators
4. Engineers                         9. Administrative Assistants/PAs
5. Management/Executives   10. Drivers

Of the thousands of jobs studied, sales representative is the second most difficult position to hire. Chally provides predictive selection tools and the Talent Audit to ease the stress of finding new sales talent. The Talent Audit is an ongoing decision making tool to assess competencies and success potentials. It targets “job skill DNA”, which is more comprehensive and meaningful than regular descriptive data. This can increase the effectiveness of future decision making and help you select and develop the right people in the right positions.

Applying Total Quality Management to SALES

Chally’s TQSalesM methodology is the first to leverage the productivity advantages of Total Quality Management, Lean and Six Sigma and bring that science to sales.  TQSalesM can deliver predictable revenue increases of 15%-25% through improvements in salesperson ramp-up times, cost savings associated with reductions in sales force turnover, and growth in overall sales force productivity. Qualified partners who implement the TQSalesM program will be provided a Chally Predictive Assurance (CPA) ROI guarantee on metrics that are important to success. If those mutually agreed upon targets are not achieved, Chally will refund up to 100% of our fees associated with these performance metrics.  Contact us for a copy of the TQSalesM overview brochure and white paper.  Or visit:  www.tqsalesm.com for more information.

"Science of Sales" Curriculum Launched in China
The Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST) hosted the graduation ceremony of the first Chinese pilot offering of the newly-developed and highly-regarded “Science of Sales” training program.  This program was developed by the USEF with cooperation of Think TV.  It is the first major research-based training program since Neil Rackham completed his seminal research for IBM and Xerox over 20 years ago.  The program features sales research results based on data from 80,000 corporate and professional customers, 7,200 sales forces tracked over 18 years, and 210,000 salespeople.  The research was contributed by Chally.  Twenty-four sales people and sales executives representing major Chinese companies participated in the intensive 5-day program. Howard and Sally Stevens assisted in the instruction.  Click here for the full press release.
Measuring Skill DNA is Critical to Development

When the economy becomes a challenge, successful businesses change their focus from growth to developing and restructuring their only true competitive advantage and most important asset, their people. This includes re-energizing bench strength to ensure the right people are in the right positions, instituting a strong succession plan and implementing concentrated, focused training.

With Chally’s Talent Audit, organizations are able to inventory a complete list of strengths and weaknesses for all key employees across every position. It gives on-demand access to a career’s worth of information which will assist in placement of employees in the right position, focus development of the right competencies, and perform effective succession planning.
