This conclusion is based on a five-year Chally study, completed and published as How Exceptional Managers Develop. The study compares the career progress of high-potential employees who were actively developed through the four stages of management maturity versus high-potentials left to their own devices. The Chally research also identifies and validates competencies that predict management success.
